Adding Action Photos to a Bio

Modified on Thu, 12 Jan, 2017 at 3:30 PM

One easy way to make your Bio pages standout is to add Action Photos which will appear above the player's name like in the example below.

To add these images, you can use two methods: Batch Associations or Editing an Image.

Before getting into those two options, you must first add images onto the site and make sure they are marked as Action Shot in the category area.

Batch Associations

When you expand out the Rosters area, there's an option called Batch Associations. This will function just like the Batch Head Shots option, just instead it will allow you to associate a player to multiple action shots. In that first step, you will want to choose the sport and roster you are adding these images to and then when searching for the image, choose the category of Action Shot and then the sport. You also have a search box with the option of looking for a particular player.

When ready, click Retrieve Results. Then below that, you will see the list of images, and you can now associate the player to the image and when done, click the Update button.

Editing an Image

The other option is to edit an individual image and when in the associations tab, there is a players field. Choose the player from the list and update the image.

Note: The Roster Bios are cached, so if you run through either of these steps and you do not see the image right away, note the photos will display when the site's cache clears out on its own. Submitting a ticket to get this action completed is not required.

Tip: The location of the images was designed for wide or horizontal based photos. We recommend cropping vertical images to the area you want to have appear on the bio page as opposed to letting the software attempt to resize it as it might not result in the desired layout.
